Alliance and Leicester - Thoughts wanted
Anyone bank with them?
Got fedup of my bank not being my bank and being stupid about combining a loan and credit card so I've gone over to Alliance and Leicester - they have given me the premier account I want with OD and when a dispute with my credit card is resolved I'll be swapping over to them with that too but I since have been told they are stupid over charges so I assume this is over OD or past your OD agreement? ...I don't do this but wondered if there was anything else you Frugallers know of or if you bank with them NO PROBLEMS!

i do!!! and have done since i was 15 i have a basic account with debit card so probably not much use to you never had any probs with them the staff have always been nice when ive been in unlike the natwest and tsb
never had a credit card or loans so cant comment on that side of things sorry

i have telephoned them i guess its hq before with a quiery top marks again and the website is good and you know what im like with rudeness
i had money in 2 different accounts one with a&l other nationwide i wanted a debit card but because i wasnt working nationwide wouldnt do it so went to a&l who my other acc was with i had no probs at all

We're first direct. Never go into a bank nowadays. Their call centre is UK based and always answered by someone who knows what they're talking about - which is nice.
Not tried A&L.

I pretty much agree with Calloo. Although, like her, I've not had anything to do with credit cards and overdrafts so can't help you in that respect.
