I went to see the first showing of this film at my local cinema because I love my 'Comic Book Heroes' films.
It is pretty much a build up for how Captain America BECOMES 'Captain America'...
There's a lot of background of his life... The formula to how he gets stronger/bigger... then sees him grow as a person
Chris Evans (No, not the ginger guy) plays the main character. I was worried he may ruin the Hero for me... but he did a really good job. Also... (for you ladies out there) there is a scene where the camera slowly zooms up his body (once he is stronger)... NIIIIIIICE!!!!

He starts all weak, little and useless... then he gets taken in for an experiment where he turns strong, fit and fast. He then has to fight (like all super heroes have to) an enemy in order to (wait for the cliche)... SAVE THE WOOOOOOORLD!!!!
It's not all about him fighting though... it does have a good few laughs in the film (not as many as Thor though)... and also, again like most hero films, a little romance.
Quite a lot of people walked out of the film when I was in there... reckon they got bored of all the in depth stuff... but that's what it's there for.
This film... like Iron Man, Hulk and Thor... has been made to pretty much build the character up ready for the MASSIVE FILM where they all come together.... THE AVENGERS (out in May 2012)
This is NOTHING like X-Men... so don't think because you like them films... you will like this.
If you have no interest in super heroes DO NOT watch this... as you WILL get bored.
**For you extra geeky people out there - You may want to wait till after the credits of the film as a little geeky surprise awaits you.
This film really does get you excited for The Avengers coming out next year.
