Would I recommend this place? For eating or drinking? Never!!!!

Sorry for the poor pics, but I think the actual detailed price list was hidden on the counter for when you were past the point of no return at the front of the queue.
We were at the Charity Shield Match yesterday, Manu vs Chelsea. People were sitting at their seats with their little KFC style boxed meals. Didn't look too appetising, I must say. Put it this way, if you russled it up in your own kitchen, you'd be disappointed.
The main choices were:
Chicken (nuggets) and chips - £8.90
Cheeseburger and chips - £8.20
Fish and chips - £8.90
Honestly, don't bother. If you buy a pint of beer in a plastic cup, it's not far off a fiver. A coke £3.50. And listen to this. You may fancy something to pick at and just order a portion of chips. Forget it! They will only serve chips with the over-priced alternatives above.
Do yourself a favour, eat before you attend the stadium. There's plenty of food places around the stadium. If you take your own drink in, they'll ask you to transfer it to a plastic cup provided. They say it's so you can't use the bottle as a missile (they used to just confiscate your bottle top), but I suspect it more likely it's to ensure you buy a soft drink for £3.50.

p.s. Other than that, it's an excellent stadium.
