Official Moderator Picks - How it works

    in conjunction with

NOTE: Because of the closure of yoursecretcode, this bonus has been changed to a credit to www.myshoppingarcade.com From now on we will be crediting 20p instead of a bonus recruit.

As you know the moderators are always busy; working away behind the scenes keeping Frugaller Forum ship shape.

From now on, if they spot any particularly good posts, they'll nominate it a Moderator pick.

Moderator picks can be any type of post. e.g.

A fantastic freebie or money saving tip.
Advice about the partner reward sites.
A response to a request for help.
A thread popular for any other reason.
Posts that have been selected as a Moderator pick will also have the official Frugaller icon tagged to the thread:

Posts will be selected most days and by any of the Mods / Admin.

If the thread is a money saving or freebie tip (particularly appreciated) they will also be added to Frugaller Home Page.

Finally, as a little thankyou, if you're a member of myshoppingarcade.com you will be credited 20 pence of instantly confirmed commission into your account for each Mod nomination. The more you get nominated, the more you'll receive. *

We hope you like the new scheme and look forward to your contributions. Remember, even if a post isn't nominated, all contributions are appreciated by the community. If there's a post that particularly helps you and it's been missed by one of the team, feel free to let us know about it here, it might also get picked.

*To receive 20p's, please PM me (Frugaller) with the URL to your post that was nominated. Include your myshoppingarcade.com username. Use subject 'Mod Pick'. This should be done within 7 days of the nomination. It's a good idea to subscribe to the threads you contribute to to make sure you don't miss out. If you're not yet a member of myshoppingarcade.com and you would like your 20p, feel free to join and then claim.

20p's will normally be credited with 48hrs.

so its down from £5 amazon to about 10p or less. is this to save money as i think the post of the week was the best. even if its for a small amount or just to pick a post of the week.

    Well that won't win it.

It's not about 10p, and as it's multiple posts daily I don't really understand your comparison. It's no longer weekly. If it's not worth it in your eyes, then simply don't claim. Hopefully other members will appreciate the changes.

There's still going to be the same amount being paid out but this way it doesn't rely on nominations as there haven't been as many which isn't fair on members. This way you can earn something daily even if it is 25p but more than 1 mod can reward the same offer so you'd be getting more than that. So really you could mount up quite a good amount for posting good offers/freebies etc. and not have to rely on a nomination which may not get you anything that week.

its so awful every week picking just 2 members when many more take the time and effort to post fantastic freebies and offers this way more members will get rewarded for their efforts

5 REQUIRED FOR CAT 1 GIFT

    DELICIOUS BAG OF REVELS
    MALTESERS
    Delicious Dairy Milk 49g

    all above copied from site,

All are about 50p so a recruits is 10p

that was to justify my post.

but i just dont think that many will be nominated. i also think it might be a good idea to have a post open where people can nominate. as i think the post of the week was good as anyone could vote but mods had the last work.

    I always make the most out of my recruits - 60 recruits = £15 = 25p each

Why don't you think so many would be nominated? And the recruits are worth about 25p as you move up categories as the postage / gift value becomes more proportionate.

More members benefit daily. Rather than 2 per week.

I agree as like you say it must be difficult to pick just the 2 members, as lots of members post great deals/freebies each week. I'd like to think that this new award system would benefit far more members, as more rewards are handed out and possibly more applicable posts will be added that we can all benefit from. Lisa x
