My name's Andy and after finishing univerity I decided to get a tight hold on my finances. I aimed to reduce my amount of outgoings and boost my earnings, this is crucial for me as I am in a lot of debt (not just student loans and a 3000£ overdraft) but I stupidly borrowed more and more. I'm in current harmony where my repayments arent costing me more than I earn but still really need to increase my earnings to reduce the debt quicker.
I was planning on saving, however if you have debts it is ALWAYS better to pay debts off first as the interesting your paying on debt will be considerably more than the interest you receive on your savings, for example with 5,000 on a crfedit card and 5,000 in your savings - you could be up to £700 a year better off!
Anyway, I come to these forums hoping to learn some fantastic technique and also to share the money saving tips and tricks I have. Looking forward to a healthy, and frugal, relationship
