Default Grant sacked as Chelsea manager

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...ea/7418774.stm

    Runner up on both fronts.

I think he could have won the champions league and premiership and still lost his job. With these clubs it's no longer just about the winning. It's about being commercial, attractive and very profitable, and that's a whole different thing.

Whoever takes the job will get no sympathy when he's also sacked in 12 months time for not making chelski interesting.

    My pennies worth.

    A quote from the charman:

"So although it was an excellent season, we are still disappointed."

typical thick football speak. Why are they disappointed? Maybe because their outgoings are more than the team that beat them?

Need to find a different sport - sorry, a sport.

Ridiculous decison, but typical Chelsea. Just look at Grant's stats as manager:

    Played: 37
    Won: 26
    Drawn: 3
    Lost: 8
    Win percentage: 70.3

And they're still unbeaten at home.

By the way Fruggaz, did you get my PM? ;o

Got PM, it's in the list to action.

    Crazy at the min.

But yep, those stats speak for themselves. No club has the right to think they'll win nomatter what. I just hope the new guy does worse than grant and costs twice as much.

Ok, just making sure the gremlins didn't steal it.

He even did what Mourinho couldn't do, get into the Champions League final. That and finishing second after only eight months in charge is pretty good if you ask me.
