Default What do you use for anti Virus?

We've got Norton on our machines, but you don't 1/2 notice when it's running. I've installed a new copy of Norton 360 onto an XP machine but then it crashes - blue screen jobby. De-installed it and it's ok.

Can you guys recommend a solution that won't slow the computer down to a crawl, or worse, cause it to crash?

I won AVG Internet Security last year and has always warned me when there's a virus (especially when on PTC sites). I keep getting told the Firewall has stopped but Orange's one still protects me.

License was for 3 computers so parents 2 covered as well for 2 years each. Compared to just Anti-Virus it gives you anti-spyware, anti-spam and the firewall as well.

I use AVG for the latop, hasn't let me down yet.

I also have Zone Alarms firewall, warns you if a new program is trying to access your comp or internet, tis good cos it gives you the option of allowing stuff through you know is safe rather than just blocking it without telling you.

That's what was driving me insane with norton (as well as the crashing). It changed so much and even disabled cookies. Didn't know why I couldn't log into some sites for ages.
