wont bull turd to you - the 1000 is far superior to the 701 (obviously by the numbers). its fine if you wanna do a quick letter, surf the internet or have a skype chat (very good for that actually).
If you want to do "graphics" or something heavier, the 1000 is the way to go. jus internet or email, the 701 is more than sufficient, and its sdhc compat (so 8 and 16gb cards are fine!)
