    Default wireless router

right i dunno if this is the right place to post this but im gonna anyway!

we are thinking of setting up the computer upstairs on a wireless router but im as clueless as ever about this technology stuff as my mother! so i was wondering if anyone here knows about it!

what i need to know is, if i buy a wireless router and usb connector for the puter upstairs, does the pc that already has the broadband installed in it have to go wireless too? or can this one stay as it is (i.e. using non-wireless)

    any help would be fantabulous!

You'd connect the router to the main PC so that would be a wired connection and then you can make any other computers in the house wireless either if they have wireless connection already or USB.

Becuse of the awkward position of the phone point in our house, all computers (3) are connected wirelessly.

What you do is configure the router to actually connect to the internet as though it's a computer, then share the connection wirelessly. Works a treat.

I've had the same experience with belikn, I could pick up other peoples routers better than mine. I bought a Netgear Mimo router and that's much better, I get reliable connections even with devices that have been notoriously problematic.
