From Sunday the 1st of July, England will match the rest of the UK when the smoking ban comes into effect.
Smoking will not be allowed in any enclosed public spaces.
It is claimed that the law will protect non-smokers.
A group 'Freedom2choose' says it's against people's human rights to stop them smoking.
What are your views on the ban? Will this effect your behavior in any way.
If you live in a country that already has the ban, how has it gone down where you are?
Are you ready for England smoking ban?

I can't wait!
Coming back from the pub not stinking of smoke - bliss
The only downside is they'll all be congregating in the doorways so you'll have to fight your way through the smoke to get into a pub.
Smokers bang on about human rights and rubbish like that but what about the rights of non-smokers?
Does it show I'm an ex smoker?

im all for it and im a smoker!!
no one can understand HOW i can agree with the ban but i look at it this way, i smoke because i am addicted, not because i like smoking, not because i like the fact that my taste buds are knackered, not that i like to smell like a mouldy ashtray but because when i was a teenager it was 'cool' to smoke, and like most things that bring revenue into the country, smoking is addictive, id love to not be able to spark up whenever the cravings hit me but i cant just quit, this is a positive step forward, i just hope that when so many people quit we aint taxed on everything else that we do!!

Stressy, you're one of the first smokers I've heard admit that they smoke cos they're addicted rather than because they want to!
Hope you manage to kick it into touch soon x

That's the worry. The health police then going for the next thing. I didn't used to agree with it, but now think a ban is a good thing. Now I've got two young kids, we enjoy going for a meal out and wouldn't have taken them to the Smokey holes we used to frequent.

like any drug you can wean of off it, first you have to break the "habit fags" you know the one you have after you eat... the one you have as you leave a shop... they 9 times outta ten are not really needed. So stop those and your half way to weaning your self off the needed ones. Andy wants to quit and his doc has offered him a new tablet thing

Richard Bacon said on 5-live this morning that he went to the pub last night and had his last fag in a pub. He said he doesn't smok, but wanted to have have a last one anyhow.
He cracks me up, and in a funny sort of way, I can see where he's coming from.

its my morning fag i cant do without!! thats the main one i have to quit, ive started leaving it longer before sparking up in the morning, i used to literally light up as soon as i came down the stairs and switch the kettle on, now i hang on and hang on until i start getting stressed, i actually lasted til the kids went to school on friday so its getting easier,
tink, its taken me ages to realise its an addiction, and it was after a dodgy fag i swore id never light up again, until i had the shakes and started getting stressy because of not having a fag
just wish i had stayed off the fags when i quit when i was pregnant with zady

If you usually have a brew with your morning fag then don't as you associate having your morning brew with having a fag.
Have orange juice or similar instead.
