Yeah I heard something in Livingston got closed too because the roof was unsafe.

Live next to a fireman and heard his alarm going off at least twice today

Friend nearer Edinburgh posted a pic of his neighbours shed in his garden

OMG!!! Scotland sounds AWFUL!! The weather that is, not the place

I get worried with winds like this. You hear of trees falling on cars and fences ripping out the ground and stabbing someone in the face... EVER THE OPTIMIST ME!!

I have a window on my bedroom roof so I can hear every bit of rain and wind... t'is sooooo annoying. Have to put my radio on.

I hope the snow don't come down here. I really HATE snow!! I have never built a Snowman, been in a snow ball fight or even done a 'Snow Angel'... I DETEST SNOW!!

Hope it's okays up there HC and you don't have any accidents or blackouts... STAY SAFE!

All fine here now. No wind at all. I'm sure there's a few people checking their cars for damage though.

Very cold now though so hopefully we do get some snow.

Hopefully? nooo...I'm with Coach, I don't want snow esp. when im going back to work next week, its too worrying now we have a procedure in place that means I could lose a days pay for every day I can't get in to work because of bad weather. Here's hoping it continues to be a mild winter...

Spoke too soon about there being no wind. It's returned and the lights are flickering a lot!

Yes I need some snow or it will feel like we've just skipped winter. Especially now all our Christmas decorations are down. Gone by tooo fast!

Aw thats true - I took my decorations down yesterday and we're going to take the main tree down tomorrow afternoon. I'd rather that than have bad luck for the rest of the year though (isn't there a superstition about that?).

Yeah it needs to be down by/on Friday. We're not seeing nephew again until Friday so was easier to get the place tidied by then.

Lights not flickered in a while. Phew!

Woo-hoo! the wind and rain died down here overnight so I finally managed to get out the house and have a proper walk into town - I suddenly feel 3 times more awake than before I left LOL you should have seen this uprooted tree thats right across the union canal basin though, its massive! its taken a great big bit of ground with it too *eek* I'd have taken a photo only I didn't have my camera or BlackBerry on me at the time - I saw it wasn't raining and rushed out while the going was good lol im getting stir crazy being stuck in the house for so long now ive been off nearly two weeks... (mind you give it a day or so once I've back to work I'll wish I was on holiday again lol!).
