last monday my oldest, brannon, was ill, as was the baby, high temperature, puking all the nice stuff that kids do! by wednesday night he was fine again so i said 'school tomorrow' silently doing the mummy's back to school dance! WELL wednesday evening he was out on his bike (the bike i hasten to add he hadnt played on in months that i had only just got fixed that afternoon!!) it was a bit wet outside and all of a sudden i hear a high pitched wail! run outside to find brannon in a heap underneath the bike screaming that he was hurt! brought him in and dumped him in the bath coz he was covered in muck, his arm balloons so up to the infirmary we head, hes broken his arm right down the main bone, a lengthways split! so they put a temporary plaster on his arm and we go back there thursday for a real plaster, all well and good, hubby says 'let him have until monday off, so me being the obliging woman i am agrees!
saturday brannon comes to me and shows me this 'Unbreakable' plaster, its splitting, so i wrap the plaster in a bandage and phone the plaster room, to tell them, they said it will be ok till tuesday (when he has to go back for his plaster check) so ok says becki,
yesterday we go to hubbys parents and hes playing in the back garden, comes into me all flustered and says 'um mum theres something stuck in my plaster' so i get rather stressed and ask him what he tells me he was scratching down the plaster with a stick and the stick snapped!!
what is it with boys? seemingly intelligent boys at that? so now when we go back to the hospital tomorrow they will be faced with a splitting plaster full of garden debris! oh the joys of parenting! *looks for a smiley that is banging her head against a keyboard/monitor/desk/wall*
