Default Sony HMZ-T1 Head Mounted Display

    HMZ-T1 (HMZT1, HMZT1W.CEK) : Overview : TV & home cinema : Sony

Why watch 3D TV with others when you can watch it on your own.

It's only 720p so isn't as good quality compared to TVs with 1080p

Not sure how much it is/was but there's only 250 of them to be sold in the UK

That looks too futuristic for me! wouldn't such things give you a headache? and what about people like me who have to wear glasses? hmmm... it kinda reminds me of those virtual reality headsets you used to see on TV in the early 90s only it looks smaller(?)

Not sure how it would work with glasses although i'm guessing it wouldn't be much different than putting the 3D glasses on over your own glasses at the cinema.

Might be good for playing games as people can still watch TV while you're playing but seems to be a very solitary thing

I guess so...ooh yeah, gaming could be fun! I wonder what the Nintendo 3DS is like, since you can't see the 3D footage on regular TVs, it makes me curious but I wouldn't buy one as its too much of a faddy thing - I tend to be interested in video games for a few months at a time and then I lose interest...

Not tried the 3DS. There were a few stories about people getting headaches but probably just getting used to it.

Had my DS Lite for years and still play it. Haven't really thought about upgrading to the 3DS though unless I happen to win one.

I don't think they've sold very well - no doubt in the economic crisis, its far from at the top of most peoples priorities... its come down in price for £149 to around about £100-£110 though. I have an original Nintendo DS but I just gave away most of my games for it to someone via Post Pals, as I rarely play with it anymore - if im at home ill be using my laptop and TV - thats it, just about lol.
