I don't mind the 5ps - it's more than some sites give you for not being eligible.

They don't send many I am eligible for though so fingers crossed it doesn't take you as long as it does for me.

Yeah, I'd rather get 5p than nothing! I get annoyed with sites like Valued Opinions who screen you out after it seems like you've already completed 50% or more of the survey and you don't get any payment for it

At the moment my problem isn't saving up (thanks to my bonus ball win anyway), its trying to decide what to get for my dad that he'll like and will actually use and enjoy, that he doesn't already have. Its a bit frustrating having the money but no clue what to buy lol I have bought a few items mind you but I'm not as convinced as I'd like to be, that he'll really like them :-/ he's so hard to buy for! so yeah im not sure whats worse, having less money and not being able to afford what they want or having money but not having a clue what to buy. I actually bought that Harry Hill book of bloopers as he saw Harry on Daybreak talking about it and said that would probably be a funnier book than another one he wrote that I got him as a present a few years back as that book was a bit too weird but I know this book is aimed for children lol so I'm not sure if he'll be offended I bought it for him or not - I don't know whether he was being serious when he said he thought that would be a funnier book, he said it quite seriously at the time *I think* and im just kinda totally running out of other ideas LOL it only cost a few quid though, so its not a major loss if its of no interest, I just hope he wouldn't be offended...

I'm stuck for a gift for my dad too.

I still need to buy mums, dads and boyfriends parents and I hope that's them all. I know what I want to get the other 3 though so that's not so bad. I just better get a move on!

Oh and I bought a Wii from Amazon a few weeks ago for boyfriend and last night saw it had come down in price by £10. Now Amazon have free returns so I emailed them to ask if they'd refund the difference (like they used to do a few years ago) or if I'd have to return the Wii for a full refund and reorder at the cheapest price. They'd refunded the difference by this morning

If you don't ask, you don't get!

Ooh, top tip! since my dads got more time as he retired, he's been going through our Asda store receipts to get those £5 vouchers they offer if you itemise your receipt online, either Asda is cheaper for your shopping or/and you get a £5 voucher, I think(?). Prices at Amazon tend to vary a lot, depending on if a different retailer is offering the item at the cheapest price but there may only be 1 of that item available...

I think they only refunded because there was a big difference in the price I paid and what they're currently selling it at - they knew I would have been likely to send it back whereas they could easily have said they don't refund a smaller amount.

Was quite glad they did refund because I wasn't too happy seeing Smyths toys then selling the Wii at £96 when I'd paid £110.

So if you have made a big purchase, keep an eye on the site for a few weeks. They did say they don't offer a post-order price guarantee so this was a one off refund.

Its good to know it paid off for you (literally) - at least with online retailers you can email them and ask for free, rather than having to phone or travel into town to ask. £96 is a good price but does that include the Sports game you used to get with the console, or is it just the console on its own?.

Includes the games Wii Console Ltd Edt Blue Mario&Sonic 2012 Olympics - Smyths Toys

Although I don't have a Smyths nearby so couldn't have got it at that price. But having said that, when we bought our Wii dad paid £174 for it a few years ago so it's come down a lot in price since.
