Question Any ideas for fathers day gifts?

    Hi,

I thought I'd maybe ask if anyone has any ideas for fathers day gifts, what are you going to get? its a few weeks away, on June 17th. The problem for me is that my dad has his birthday in the same month lol only a week or so after fathers day, so I have to think of something to get him for fathers day and something for his birthday but he's difficult to buy for at Christmas I bought him an optical mouse shaped like a racing car from IWOOT for a laugh and 'cause the mouse on his PC wasnt working well but I can't think of what to get him this time around... he's a fan of the Grumpy Old Men TV show but I've already bought him both of the official books lol! mind you he is also keen on talk about garden sheds... are there any funny books about garden sheds? I might have to look into that as a potential possibility!

anyway if anyone wants to discuss what their buying their dad for fathers day or if anyone sees any original/creative fathers day gifts or anything that would act as a good birthday present for a father then please post the link

*goes off to look for funny books on garden sheds* *whispers - just dont tell him*

I think fathers day is always something little & a card - novelty of something with Dad on from a card shop etc ....

Over last couple of years I've got a lighter personalised - a silver old style shaving kit - a mug with me an my sister on it.

This year - NOUT he don't deserve it! ... Basically!

My dad's birthday is the day before

I always just get him one pressie for both, usually a shirt or something boring like that.

    I got no imagination

Andy is a fan of jeremy clarkson - and he seems to bring books out quite regularly so they're always a good bet and the other thing is gadgets - keyring torches, multitools, credit card torches, that sort of thing. My dad passed away years ago but andy's dad collects paperknives so thats really easy he's also a keen gardener so if all else fails b&Q or garden centre vouchers are always a safe bet - he can get what HE wants then

dunno if this helps - i'm a man so if i want or need something i go out and get it so i know its hard to buy presents for me BUT i will say for me the best present i can get is to be remembered so for me getting a card or a fone call from my girls is what makes my day!

HC's suggestion of a boat is good one.

Seriously though, sentimental like Andy, breakfast in bed carried up by the boy sounds good enough for me.
