That said, it makes a farce of Harry being in the armed forces in the first place.

If he was to go into action anywhere, he'd always be a big target.

So they say it's too dangerous.

Let's face it, the Royals only join the armed forces to make the rest of us think that it's an honour to serve Queen and Country.

This is a PR disaster for the Royals and armed forces. He should have gone without the media coverage there's already been. Can't help thinking that it's all been intentional to force this decision.

If my son / brother / any sort of relative had to go and Harry doesn't then I'd be pretty upset. Sorry to rant

Well, if the press did not make it such a big deal of this in the first place, Harry would probably have gone to Iraq and no body would have been any the wiser.

It would be good if they said he was not going then posted him anyway just to thrown the terrorists off his tracks.
