Default **** attack on Youtube. Should youtube moderate videos.

BBC NEWS | UK | ****ographic videos flood YouTube

Video-sharing website YouTube has removed hundreds of ****ographic videos which were uploaded in what is believed to be a planned attack.
The material was uploaded under names of famous teenage celebrities such as Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers.
The fact they've used kids videos as intros is terrible.

I know google will argue that there's too much video uploaded to moderate it, I wonder if that's a cop out. It's more about profit than inability.

    Google sees record $1.6bn profit

As far as I know YouTube makes a loss for Google

Only info I could find on how many vids are uploaded a day is this: informitv - YouTube compares online video to early television

"Every minute, some 13 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube. “That’s the equivalent of Hollywood releasing more than 57,000 full-length movies every week,” he argued, in a comparison that could be considered unwise."

There is always someone planning something. Some of the top partners had their accounts hacked in the last few weeks. Even the Disney stars like Jonas Brothers ended up with thumbnails on each channel spelling out F U... The site has been glitchy for weeks with no sign of them sorting it.

I think it is too big. Even a year or so ago was in the paper that a video of someone getting beaten up which killed them and the attackers bragging about it was online for months before someone reported it to get removed.

It's crazily big. I think if harm is casued by lack of human moderation then steps need to be taken. It's not like our lives will be forever damaged if youtube was suddenly a small % of it's former self, that's the way google goes on about it.
