Just read this...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7751064.stm
Rumours have been circulating all day.
Woolworths is a strange shop but it will be sad to see it go. I've bought a few things from their website in the past year and always found the service excellent.
Let's hope they can find a buyer. It's potentially a great brand once again.
In the meantime, it's probably a bad idea to make a new purchase from their website so we've removed it from myshoppingarcade (hence posting in this area).
Woolworths to go into adminstration!!! Will you miss it?

Gordon Brown's going to help them over Chrimbo....
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7751714.stmThe government is working to ensure that Woolworths stores remain open over the Christmas period, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has said.
But would you go and buy anything other than a newspaper or a bag of sweets when the chain will prob be shut in January? You'll struggle to take anything back.
