heard on the news tonight iceland is buying some of the leases and poundland ,lidl, tesco are interested too odd this am it said noone was interested

George Galloway is saying today that it should be nationalised. Muppet.
It's sad to see comanies go under, especially for the staff, but imagine the local competing shops in the local area trying to compete with a woolworths that's got unlimited funding from the taxpayer.

I quickly had a look in another branch of Woolworths and saw that they were offering 50% off greetings cards, in the Falkirk branch...

Went into my local branch today, and while the staff were putting on brave faces you could see they were concerned.
I did well as I bought a desktop fan for £4.50, plus a shredder for £4.
