Blimey that is bad luck Jak! Just looked at the specs for the comp you're looking at, and I'm very impressed with it. There's plenty of memory which is very important, and the graphics card is pretty good for high end gaming.

terrible joke Mark, and now you've made me feel hungry. Lisa x

in saying that, i could be resourceful and get one from pc world for £399! 4gb ram 500gb hd, cant be bad!

or just hook the new lappy to the big monitor - or is that being too frugal?

I did that for a while once. Just hooked up a keyboard, mouse and monitor and off you go. Depends what you use it for of course. Worked fine for me.

i bought a sony vaio from e-bay 150 quid (700 worth) .... very nice laptop... hubby builds his own PC's and uses advance tec to get his parts. pc worlds had some ram yesterday 97p, wouldnt buy a pc there!... dont bother with the touch screen jak the calibration is carp ! its not sensative enough and thinks your finger is somwhere else... the newer model is better but tbh the price for what you get is carp!
