    Default Help needed please :)

    Hi!

    Just a few things I'd really like help with as I'm not getting much time to keep FF & WP up to date (sorry baz - mod picks on WP will be coming soon I promise )

    Firstly, other than posts which have end dates on them, if you notice any without an end date which has ended, please PM me the link. It can take up to a week to go through every post on the forum (and that's without having time to post new offers etc) so I only get the chance to go through once a month.

    When posting, please don't include affiliate links (you'll get these if you take the links from other sites). It takes a good hour or two for me to go through and edit links posted. Generally these will be random codes at the end of a link

    e.g.
    Code:
    http://www.mytights.com/gb?utm_source=AWin&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=78888&awc=30_1313334864_6a9b1b379d83269aa2baf5ad2b4b3aaa
    Needs to become
    Code:
    http://www.mytights.com/gb
    so remove everything after the ?

    Also, please don't C&P direct from emails or other websites. Google can't recognise the text from pictures and doesn't like it when chunks of text are duplicated from other sites. It really helps if you can write a short description yourself (if needed)

    Is there any way of adding a facility whereby when submitting a deal/code/competition etc,an end date has to be entered and the post automatically expires at the end date given ?

    No unfortunately not. Although because you are all great at posting end dates, they're really easy for us to move as we just need to go through each page and tick a box so 10 minutes max to do. It's all the other posts without end dates which take the most time as we have to check them all individually.

    I try not to post offers/deals that don't specify expiry dates but some are only while stocks last and they can be good deals, so, I figure their worth sharing...(?)

    Yes they're definitely worth sharing. A lot of posts that are still active date back to 2007. Just have to keep checking them though in case they change or end which takes a lot of time.

    Well I should say the web pages are still active. Whether or not they still have freebies etc are another thing.

    Only 4 sections left to tidy (49 pages worth though). Hopefully be finished by Friday then can get back to my emails and giving out Mod Picks
