    Default Tax rebate, anyone?

Six million people 'have had income tax wrongly calculated' - mirror.co.uk

Well, heres hoping I fall into the rebate section, not the owe-loads-and-cant-afford-to-repay section.

A rebate would be lovely about now. They reckon that
Some 4.3 million people will get £1.8billion in refunds but 1.4 million will be asked to repay about £2billion.

Oh how I hope im due one. Would be really funny as the job I had was in local government, so it would be rather ironic, that they got it wrong and now I can claw it back.

Last year I noticed my tax code was wrong so got in touch with them and got a rebate then. Least I know I wont be one of the unlucky ones who owe money.

They reckon it'll mainly affect those with more than one job and people who changed jobs in the last 2 years.

Best of luck to your paye taxpayers.

If you're one of the unfortunate ones who have underpaid, make sure you make it as difficult as poss for them to get their wonga back!

Here's a conspiracy theory for you..... How do we know that the Government isn't pulling a massive con trick here. Perhaps 99% of the letters going out are demanding money back, while they're telling us the opposite. How will we know there are that many people getting a rebate. Hmmmmmmmm!

Anybody had the letter yet, or know anybody who's had one?

Could be really happy, or really miserable.

    Let us know.
