Official Free upgrade to a sky+ box

Could anyone help me? I want to get a free upgrade to a sky+ box for my Nan, she is already a sky customer. I have heard that if you phone up to cancel that they sometimes offer you a free upgrade, but say they don't she would end up with no sky. My Nan is willing to pay for installation but would prefer to pay nothing at all. I had tried to get her a free + box when I got mine but because she was an existing customer so the offer couldn't be used.

    Thank you Kelly x

Hiya Kelly .....Ring sky up on a Tuesday or Wednesday and state you wish to cancel ....As sky employees have a selected number of "treats" to entice you to stay and their working week runs from a Friday to a Thursday - Therefore they dont wish to give them out at the beginning of their week but neither do they want to be left with any "treats" at the end of their week - when they ask you why you wish to cancel state that you wish to have freeview as the quality of progs on sky are mostly repeats etc etc......They will then say "let me just have a look at your account" and put you on hold, when they come back they will offer you certain "deals" or "treats".....when (and they will) offer you /your nan Sky + they will also state that the installation is free (as your a "loyal customer" for staying with them)

Hope this is of help ...its a tad scarey when your actually speaking with Sky and doing this but they will give you/your nan Sky + upgrade completley free..... Best of Luck ......Skip
