    Default Cheap car breakdown cover

Here we go again. It's that time of year again. Just had the renewal notification through from the AA.

They want £112.50 for cover for the two of us on one car. This is for Roadside and Relay. We need cover for two cars this year.

All Frugallers know that loyalty no longer pays.

Going to get some prices and kick the AA into touch if necessary. Betcha they offer me a better price when I call them to cancel though.

    Going to check on:

Breakdown cover, European breakdown cover, roadside assistance | Green Flag

The AA: Breakdown Cover, Car Insurance, Home Insurance, Loans, Motoring Advice, Travel and Maps

Breakdown Cover | Car Insurance | Route Planner | RAC

If anybody knows any more, or has seen promo codes or offers, it might help me on my quest. Thanks all.

Checking the cashback sites is a must,as you can get up to £60 cashback for AA breakdown service.
As for the home start thing, simply put your address down as one belonging to another family member or close friend, where you know you can safely have your documents sent and if your car doesn't start when you are at home, you call up for a call out,as you are 'visiting/staying over' at that address.
First Call is a company that seems to be vastly cheaper than AA or Rac and may be worth a look.
