I've just recently bought a portable external hard drive from amazon.

It's a WD one, 120GB for 55.09. I thought it was reasonable and it looked good as well. I had no problems with it.

Or if you want one with bigger memory space, you could get the 500GB for 79.99.

Lacie drives are good, my dad has one he got at work its really small (as in fits almost in the palm of your hand, though the hard disk size isnt massive either, about 20gb or so I think).

It depends on how much you can afford and how much space you need really, there's this 80gb hard drive on Play.com that only costs £49.99 and looks pretty neat, see:- http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/323005...e/Product.html

    There's also this 120gb hard drive for £59.99:- http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/332376...B/Product.html

and if the 500gb drives at about £80/£85 are too expensive then there's also this 320gb one at £69.99:- http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/334459...e/Product.html

Hope that helps there's quite a wide choice if you go to www.play.com and search for 'external hard drive' under the 'PC' tab, there's plenty to search from there... there's also a wide choice on Amazon UK but I think the ones at Play.com are possibly slightly cheaper(?)
