I didn't like my Advent - was kinda slow and the pin came out of it so I couldn't charge it and still no chance of getting it repaired.

I've also had a refurbished Philips 7511 from PC World but on Sat that stopped working - 'luckily' only bought in Feb so still under warranty.

There's a Packard Bell but might be kinda slow: PACKARD BELL MH35W-200 - REFURBISHED Laptop - Save on refurbished PACKARD BELL laptops including the PACKARD BELL MH35W-200 - REFURBISHED at PC World

Or a Compaq: COMPAQ CQ70220EM Laptop - Save on refurbished COMPAQ laptops including the COMPAQ CQ70220EM at PC World

Just don't buy Norton. You won't get manuals or disks with it if its refurbished. It will ask you to make a disk though.

Might be wrong but isn't 20GB extremely small? Mine has 250GB and even without much on it already using about half of that.
